Ridin' Richard's Hollow

We rode up Richard's Hollow today. It was raining and completely wet, but absolutely gorgeous. Scott, Steve and Jevin resting in the rain. (Ok, really they were waiting for me.)

Steve got a new bike yesterday and just had to try it out today, despite the weather conditions. I don't blame him though.

My back tire didn't want to go where my front tire was going and I dunked my bike deep into the mud. You can't really tell from the picture and I didnt' want to step back in the puddle to prove the depth, but it was DEEP! I burried my handle bar right over the kill switch in thick, sticky mud. It still worked though. However, I don't need it to kill my bike. I do a good job of that without even trying.

Jevin making it look easy.

Steve flippin' the mud! (Notice how they didn't dare try MY mud hole! Such wimps!)

Signs of a fun ride! (In case you don't ride and you're wondering; NO, they are NOT water proof!)

Locks of Love

Kennedy wanted to cut 10 " off her hair to donate to Locks of Love. 10" gone!!!
So Cute!

So happy!

Ogden City Marathon

Kids Pizza / Poster party to cheer their moms on!
McKall, Kortlin, Kylin, & Marshall. Scott and Thompson making hand prints.

Scott and Murphy making hand prints.

RACE DAY! With my friends just minutes before the start.
Danene, Angie, me and Jessica.

The race is on.....
Mile 13 was my favorite spot. Our families were there to cheer us on and Marshall was running as fast as he could to catch me to give me a kiss. I had to turn around and run back to kiss him or I would have never forgiven myself. This was at the top of the spillway of Pineview Reservoir. Mile 17 and almost all downhill from here! The day was perfect. The temperature and the weather was just right and the canyon was gorgeous. Why is that lady in the background smiling so big? She's making me look bad. Please tell me she only ran the half marathon or even better, the 5 K. I was pooped! It might look close to you, but I swear that finish line was moving away from me.

We did it!

Me, Jessica and Angie. Glad we did it! Glad to be done!

Favorite poster from the race: "Anyone can run. It takes a special kind of idiot to run a marathon!" Amen!

Marshall's Family Party

On Mother's Day weekend, we went on a picnic with Marshall's birth-family. Marshall and Holli. What some cuties! I love them both to pieces! Eating with the fam. Grandpa Joel bought everyone an ice cream from the ice cream truck.
Marshall and Kennedy playing and having fun. I think Marshall was the one having fun playing 'don't let Ken have the ball'.
What is it?

A snake! At least it was already dead!

Playing games with the fam.
Grandpa Joel showing Marshall how to play.

Playing on the playground with the cousins.
What a great day! We are so lucky to have our little Marshall-man and we are so blessed to have such a great relationship with his birth-family. They are such good people and we're so blessed to be able to share our lives and our family with them.

UPHC Spanish Fork Show

McKall and JJP Rustler's Top Gun (better known as Goose).
Don't let Goose's droopy eyes fool you. He'd rather stick his hooves in the rafters at this arena than be a good boy and do his job. But he wouldn't be Goose if he didn't and we love him anyway.

Mariah (far left) and McKall (far right) lining up after they performed their Showmanship pattern. You guys looked amazing! I am so proud of both of you!

McKall and Goose in Western Pleasure.

McKall and Goose in Trail.
McKall's first gate. She did awesome!

McKall and Tess. What would a horse show be without a dog to share it with? Good job McKall! I'm so proud of you! Thanks for all the great memories!

Ski Bums

Our ski bums; Kennedy, Marshall & McKall! Skiing at The Canyons with Grandma Gwen. Grandma Gwen is the most awesome grandma ever! She still thinks she's 20 and she'll do anything for her grand kids!
Marshall, Kendrick and Tug go skiing at least once a week. Grandma Gwen and I take them up on Fridays and sometimes Saturdays and they are getting awesome!!!
Marshall likes to pick up ice chunks and carry them with him when he skis. It makes it hard to get him on and off the lift, but he won't put them down. He says "But mom, it's my treasure!".

Marshall's favorite thing to do while skiing is go under the signs, go over jumps, and hit the box rail on the terrain park. The kid is a maniac! He goes down moguls, through the trees, though the powder and down black diamond runs. He makes me look terrible. (Notice there aren't any pictures of that because I can't ski that and get pictures too. I'm not as good as he is at it.)

Kennedy likes to ski and snowboard. She doesn't like her picture taken though.
This was McKall's first year snowboarding. She didn't ski or snowboard last year because of all her leg surgeries, but she was making up for lost time this year. She did awesome and had some great crashes.
The whole fam having lunch at The Beav! Thanks for a great ski season and all the memories! Can't wait to do it all over again next year!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Grandpa Vaughn and Grandma Gwen's. We had dinner and played games. It was a lot of fun!
